I have been a member of the Cheyenne Kennel Club for a total of about 10 years with a 5-year hiatus when I briefly moved to Florida. During the 5 active years, I have held the offices of President and Recording Secretary and have been the editor of the Pooches Post for several years. I’ve held positions and chaired the Show Chair, Position Structuring Committee and Vendor Committee. And have helped on several other committees. This year I’m chairing the CGC and Trick Dog Committees. I am also a tester/Observer (T/O) for Alliance of Therapy Dogs an AKC Scent Work judge and a Farm Dog Evaluator.
I have shown my 4 English Pointers to their Championships in conformation in the 2000’s and used two males as Alliance of Therapy Dogs, therapy dogs for several years. Joy, my AKC/UKC registered Doberman is my current ATD Therapy Dog along with Buddy, an AKC registered Rat Terrier mix. Joy has her BCAT, Scent Work titles, Farm Dog title and her AKC Therapy Dog Distinguished title with 400 visits. Buddy, when 7 months old earned his AKC CGC and AKC Novice Trick Dog title and is now a certified therapy dog through ATD.
I am a lifetime member of the AKC Scent Work Club of Ocala and the UKC Nose Work and Rally Club of Citrus County, which I started while I was in Florida.
